Quick look at my recent trip to Ireland

Last night I got back from Ireland. I went to see the famous Aran Islands and I must admit the trip was worthy every penny!

Why Ireland is worthy to visit?

For many reasons and everyone has one. For me mainly because this is a country of rich and complex history, beautiful music, stunning landscapes and excellent food. Even if I didn’t have a chance to try all of it the things that I tried were great. Starting with full Irish breakfast and my favorite sausages, live music in a local pub, visit in prehistoric spots Dún Aonghasa (anglicized Dun Aengus) and Dún Dúchathair (anglicized Doocaher meaning the Black Fort ). All these marvels were framed in natural beautiful landscape.

Why going to the remote spot such as the Aran Islands?

For ‘off the beaten tracks’ lovers there is no such questions. For the rest of us there are few good reasons. The Islands due to their natural isolation were able to keep many of old traditions and the way things were. Although the islanders are well connected to and also interested in the outside world they also make an effort to keep things simple. What is even more impressive that really appreciate and welcome tourists so you have a unique opportunity to experience the life of islanders without feeling an intruder.

What was most surprising on the Island?

Three things: changeable weather, the strength of the wind and friendliness of people.

Photos, clips, and more stories coming soon.

I get easily fascinated with people and places. I am passionately curious. I get often seduced with the beauty of nature. Blue sky, pure water, white snow and endless horizon seams to be enough to make me happy.
