I want to have this experience, too. Would love to ride around on one through the beautiful countryside and villages of Italy. But you are wise to advise us not to start in any of the busy tourist areas. Love the views of Sorrento in your post.

Years ago I used to take a small motorcycle up a muddy road to work and even that was a thrill. I’d love a Vespa and you make it sound like a lot of fun.

I visited the Amalfi Coast but did not rent a scooter, I agree that it would be really nice to drive around there with a scooter. Although that road on the Amalfi Coast is quite scary maybe I give it a try next time
