Once it happened to us too that our camera broke whilst we were travelling and as result we have no photos of beautiful Slovenia and Zagreb too. Looking at the bright side, I guess we now have a good excuse to go back there at some point.

I agree with you about needing back up for your equipment when you’re travelling – I lost my camera in New Zealand earlier this year and found my phone a real life safer as a temporary replacement.
