This part of my blog is focused on sharing all my past travels. I visited all described places and most of the photos were taken by me personally (if otherwise it is stated under the post). All information published comes from my travel experience, however, do not expect similar to TripAdvisor of Lonely Planet guide. Rather, my purpose was different. I wanted to draw your attention to the attitude towards travelling, to the way the travel is organized, and above all, how to make your travel inspiring and breathtaking experience. I would be most happy if my travel blog encouraged you to travel yourself.

So, enjoy reading all published posts and let me know whether you need more information about particular destinations.

Castel Gandolfo: Rome at your fingertips

Castel Gandolfo: Rome at your fingertips
I have recently visited Italy again. It’s been a while since my last visit in Rome. I forgot how hot and crowded it is in the middle of July. My first advice is this: visit Rome offseason! This is priceless! May or October are just perfect but this time, I had no choice as I participated in a meeting organised in Sacrofano, near Rome. Thus, here are my tips to all who visit Rome in peak season. The accommodation The best ... Read more

Tatra Mountains: a weekend retreat with friends

Tatra Mountains: a weekend retreat with friends
It looks like this spring has been a series of weekend retreats. As the writing of my book occupies the major part of my weeks I find a few free days to enjoy the weather. Last weekend I spent in Tatra, the highest Polish mountains, located in the south of the country. This was a great weekend because my Italian friends joined me and we walked together. It was their first time in the Polish highest peaks. Here is a review of our ... Read more

It’s not ALL about whisky: Edinburgh, a weekend retreat

It’s not ALL about whisky: Edinburgh, a weekend retreat
I normally skip this sort of activities: short stay over the weekend in a big city, but this time it was different. It was my birthday and I decided to organize a surprise trip for my husband so we could spend some time together. I wanted to make it special and, therefore, I chose a place that was new to both of us: Scotland. One of the things I took with me was a SIM card given to me by MTX Connect. It guarantees an access to the ... Read more

Christmas in Puglia

Christmas in Puglia
So this is Christmas. Again, I spend it far away from home. This year it is a wonderfully warm and sunny Puglia, the ‘heel’ of the Italian peninsula. I’ve recently transferred from Oria to Polignano a Mare. It is located at the seaside with the spectacular views over the cliff. Similarly to my last year experience, I am grateful for being away from the normal Christmas routine. Just like during the travel around ... Read more

Why you should visit Puglia in winter

Why you should visit Puglia in winter
I have never been to Puglia before. Since I enjoyed the idea of spending cold Polish winter elsewhere, which became a sort of a new tradition, there was a decision to make. I picked up Puglia, the most southern part of Italy. There were many reasons to come here. The weather was one of them, and the food too. I did not know that much about Puglia before I came and stayed for a while. Therefore, there was no real anticipation nor ... Read more

Food, Wine, Cooking Classes and Art of Emilia-Romagna
I love Emilia – Romagna and I consider this region my second home. I was very happy to go there again and spend a week on visiting a variety of places related to its food and wine. Settimana di Buon Vivere – a week of good living is an annual event organized to promote Emilia – Romagna. Indeed, I think that Emilia – Romagna is the best place to learning the Italian kitchen. I had an opportunity to meet the ... Read more

Industrial sites of Sardinia

Industrial sites of Sardinia
Read the previous post. The industrial monuments are not beautiful. At least not to everyone. It is important, however, to visit at least one of them while you’re in Sardinia, due to historical and social reasons. The last 200 years of the history have been tightly connected with mines. And, as often happened elsewhere, the mining boom turned into a spectacular failure leaving behind hundreds and thousands of people in ... Read more
