This is one of the most beautiful things about New Zealand: you could spend the whole life just driving around. I couldn’t believe at first that literally around every corner there was something beautiful and worth to stop, watch and picture. This is one of the reasons why driving takes so much time there! And what I absolutely love about it is the clever shoulders at every place with panorama view. So stopping and taking pictures is not life threatening situation. No danger if you behave reasonably and watch where do the cars come from (not as obvious for a European as you might think!). If you are having problems with imagining how New Zealand looks like click here to watch a short movie.
One of the most frequent picture I remember from driving 3,500 km around the South Island was few cars left along the road and people who were taking photos. Very often scene that sometimes made me laugh. So touristy! And so hard to resist in a country of natural beauty like New Zealand. For the first few days I was stopping the car every 15 minutes, I would jump out of it and would take few pictures. So here is gallery of just few of them. Just as with most beautiful beaches gallery: I need to split this gallery to show you some fantastic shots. Enjoy my ‘Let’s hit the road’ memories.
